Uplifting the Journey
B2B aviation technology marketing had a sameness problem - all specs, no soul. This campaign broke from the category entirely, using bold color, levitating passengers, and human moments to show what in-flight connectivity actually feels like. The result appealed to both the airlines buying the technology and the travelers experiencing it.
The Challenge
Viasat's aviation arm was competing in a B2B landscape where every brand looked the same - technical, functional, and forgettable. The opportunity was to position Viasat's in-flight connectivity not as infrastructure, but as something passengers would actually feel: the freedom to bring their world with them at 35,000 feet.
The Approach
Rather than speaking to airlines in the language of specs, we spoke to the experience of their passengers - and let the airlines connect the dots. A fresh visual system paired bold, character-coded color palettes with a signature visual device: passengers lifted out of their seats, surrounded by the things that mattered most to them mid-flight. Every execution was distinct. Every execution was unmistakably the same campaign.
Both Audiences. One Campaign.
The dual-audience brief was the creative constraint that made the campaign stronger. Airlines needed to believe Viasat's technology would delight their passengers. Passengers needed to feel that delight before they ever boarded. The campaign spoke to both - without compromising either.
The crew execution extended the idea beyond passengers entirely, showing how Viasat's connectivity empowers the people running the cabin - a direct nod to the airline buyer while staying visually and emotionally consistent with the rest of the campaign.
